Year 3 Spring Term Discoveries Theme Web

Year 4

We are really lucky because we have two teachers; Mr Watson teaches for 3 days each week and Mrs Mills teaches us for 2 days. Our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Lawton, who will be in class every day. This year we are looking forward to some really exciting topics beginning with Ancient Egypt. As we go through the year, we will find out all about the Water Cycle, find out about some amazing scientific discoveries and create our own imaginary world among other things!. We have a very exciting year ahead of us!

Year 6

Welcome to the Year 6 Page

Welcome to our Year 6 class page. Our class is taught by Mr Lawton and Mrs Meads is our Higher Level teaching Assistant. As year 6, we know we have a responsibility to set expectations for other children in our school to follow. In our important, final year at Overdale school we will be working hard at developing skills to help prepare us for the next step up to Secondary school.

Our themes and topics this year will be:

Autumn - The Jungle Book

Spring - Saving Our Planet

Summer - Local History

Computing Day 2019

The whole school took part in a computing themed day. They learnt about e-safety through a fun, interactive and exciting drama workshop (provided by One Day Creative). They also spent time in their classes creating web pages, projects and learning about technology in everyday life.

Box2BFit Workshop

On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th February, children took part in a Box2BFit workshop that encouraged and motivated children to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Children had the opportunity to take part in a range of circuit training that challenged and pushed them to their physical limits. Look at our photographs below to see us working up a sweat.
